From our inception, Proving Innocence focused on the unjust conviction of Temujin Kensu. It is unfortunate, but a fact of life, that unless you are personally involved, people have a hard time keeping one wrongly convicted person's case front and center. We tend to move on and give attention to newer things. Life goes on. We understand that. But we also believe that forgetting about Temujin is an injustice that we commit. Complacency harms those who still wait for justice. We should not do that to Temujin and Paula, his wife.
We encourage you to read this update by George Hunter, reporter for the Detroit News. It reminds us that Paula and Temujin Kensu are people, not just "a case". They are people with problems that dwarf any of the challenges we face every day. Every morning, we wake up in a place of our choosing; every morning Temujin wakes up in hell. Closing his eyes, hoping it is a dream, doesn't help. So, we encourage you to read a fresh article and remind yourselves of Temujin. Please click here for the article.
We also encourage you to watch the 7-part Chanel 7 evening news articles by Bill Proctor, the founder of Proving Innocence. The series may be 15 years old, but it is still the easiest, quickest and best way to become familiar with Temujin's case. The Ninja Killer by Bill Proctor.
