Carla is a licensed attorney in Ohio. She earned a BS in Criminal Justice from Bowling Green State University in 1994. She then graduated cum laude from the University of Toledo College of Law and obtained her Juris Doctorate degree.

Upon graduation, she had to deal with some health issues but, has always fought for the underdog, whether it be when she worked at The Montgomery County Public Defender’s Office or helping low income clients at Advocates for Basic Legal Equality.

Carla lives in Union City, Ohio. She loves volunteering for Proving Innocence because as a lawyer, she realizes that there are many women and men who are factually innocent but are still incarcerated nonetheless. She wants to be part of Criminal Justice reform.

Carla also has a kitty named Ringo. She loves Michigan football, volunteering and a wide variety of music.
